Easily add dust collection to your 14" band saw with this made-for-the-job dust fitting. Modern 14" saws come with this exact fitting mounted under the table to pick up saw dust at the lower guide area. It fastens to the top edge of the lower wheel guard with 2 fasteners (included).

Older 14" saws are made very similar in this area to the new saws so with a little ingenuity, you should be able to mount this one on your saw too. You will need to locate and drill the mounting holes in the lower wheel guard and you might need to trim a little metal off the top edge of the guard where this pickup extends closer to the lower guides to prevent the fitting from interfering when you tilt your table 45 degrees.

The fitting accepts 2" dust collection hose directly. #13391 adapter will step it up for 2-1/2" hose or #13063 will step it up for 4" hose. Because of the small orifice at the collection point causing a lot of air restriction, a wet/dry shop vacuum with its high inches-of-water draw will pick up more dust when connected to this fitting than a standard dust collectors which have low inches-of-water ratings.

I haven't tried this fitting on other saws but once again, with a little ingenuity you should be able to mount it and collect a large portion of the dust generated by your band saw.
