This fitting allows you to collect dust from a focused but wider area such as behind the lathe. It's also very handy when cleaning up the floor. 4" hose fits over the round end perfectly and needs to be secured with a hose clamp. If you want to connect to it quickly (similar to how vacuum cleaner fittings connect) 13410 fits tightly into the 4" end.
