Give up the hot iron!  Hot air produces a better adhered banding by heating the glue, not the banding. 

When the hot glue contacts the board material, it begins cooling on contact producing perfectly glued banding. Electronic variable heat control from 100 degrees to 600 degrees C.  Built-in cut-off knife and long table make this tool easy to use.

Guides are completely adjustable and will handle materials as wide as 2-1/4" 

The industrial heat gun is removable for hand held use. 

Handles hot-melt adhesive-backed wood and polyester edge banding.

When we asked why your IRS# is required for orders $200+, we were told "US Import Requirements - The US Customs Service does not require an importer to have license or permit. Customs entry forms do ask for your importer number, or if your business is not registered with the IRS or you do not have a business, your social security number."
