This is a solid carbide router bit 3/16" diameter x 1" cutting length. As well as being used in regular routing, it can be used with the Fast Joint Joinery System. We recommend caution be used with carbide bits this small. Shallow cuts and possibly multiple passes especially in hardwoods are required to avoid breakage.

Spiral router bits clear the chips from the cutting area which extends the life of the bit because it isn't re-cutting chips of wood. The shear action of the spiral cutting edge leaves an exceptionally clean cut with less chipping.
