Brad point drills provide the cleanest small holes when drilling wood.
This basic set of 7 pieces is made using high carbon steel.
Sizes of bits in this set include 1/8", 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16" and 1/2".
The 7/16" and 1/2" bits have shanks turned down to 3/8" to fit in drills with 3/8" chucks.
The centre point grind allows the woodworker to center the bit on the mark and drill without wandering off the mark. The outside points score the wood for a smooth, tear free entry into the wood. This grind design yields almost flat bottomed holes.
