Adjustable Countersink Bit Set

Originally designed for cut-thread wood screws, these all-in-one thread pilot, counter bore and counter sink drill bits are your next best friend for pre-drilling screw holes.

To start, the high speed steel pilot bit is fully adjustable to match the length of screw you are drilling for. Next, the counter bore area of the bit is just long enough to relieve the tightness normally felt when installing screws with a smooth shank area between head and thread but not too long to pass through a 1/2" top board to remove wood unnecessarily from the joining board. Finally, the counter sink diameter is a good match to the screw heads each one is designed for. Head and counter bore diameters are listed in the chart below.

When drilling, there's nothing worse than chuck slippage. These bits have that problem solved with their 1/4" hex shank, designed also to work with all quick-change chucks. How handy is that!

All in all, they are excellent all-in-one bits when you have multiple wood screws to install.
