The double edge trimmer is a great little tool for removing the excess width
of edge banding tape from your just-taped project.
This two knife process in
one easy- to- use tool is very effective and time saving.
On each side of the trimmer
there are 2 knives. One removes the excess material smooth with the face of your
board. The second cuts a slight chamfer on it to remove that razor sharp corner
that the first knife just made for you.
Instructions:
The chamfer knife needs to be adjusted to your
thickness of edge banding.
Take your favorite 'star' drive screwdriver and loosen the retaining screw on each of the chamfer
knives. Slide them in or out as required.
You may need to tighten, test on a
scrap piece of board, loosen again and re-set, re-tighten, re-test and so on
until you are perfectly happy with the results.
The factory does not make any attempt to
adjust the knives because they
have no idea how thick your edge banding is.
We know you will enjoy using this tool once you have it set for your situation.
Wood thickness ranges from 1/2" to
1"
Spring loaded.
Very economical.
