Due to the ever evolving covid-19 pandemic, I’m reaching out to all of you to not only provide an update, but to introduce myself as well.
Hi, hello! I’m Steve and Cathy Siddall’s daughter - Becky.
Since May of 2019, I’ve been sending out Workshop Supply’s newsletters. The ones that come straight to your inbox, like this one, are from me. I planned on introducing myself, just never thought it'd be under the circumstances we find ourselves currently in globally. Regularly, you hear from us to announce a sale, introduce a new product or just remind you of all the great things we have that you could use in your home or workshop. This is not one of those letters.
The first photo was from 1993 when my parents first purchased the store. Prior to that, it was
Steve's Shop
, and run out of the area that's now my fathers workshop.
My younger, but taller brother and I would often find ourselves at the store, at all hours of the night. Finding a comfortable spot on top of the packaging table was my go to when “just one more minute” turned into another 3 hours. Or maybe it was only another 20 minutes, but to a youngster, it was an eternity. I believe it was during those younger years though, spent at the store and in my fathers workshop that shaped me into who I am today. Someone who enjoys serving others. Someone who enjoys the time it takes to create and make. Someone who appreciates the good and simple things in life. The memories. The photographs. The handmade.
The last photo, that's me, this year, 33 years young, standing in the store and more important to note, a business that's 2 years older than myself.
My email address is,

I’d love to hear from you. Yes, everyone of you.
What have you been creating this year? What’s still around that you created 20+ years ago? So many questions, but I’ll start here - why do you create? I’d like to know, and I’d love to hear from you.
Alright, now down to business and the real reason I’m here sending you yet another newsletter, within three days from sending the last.
We’re introducing new measures for the safety of everyone. We’ll provide you up-to-date information through our newsletters, facebook, and instagram as it becomes available.
We encourage all those with the ability to do so to order online or give us a call to place an order over the phone. We can work out the shipping details together.
Effective Tuesday March 24th,
we will be temporarily closing our storefront doors to the general public as we strive to support the policies laid out by the government. We want to ensure we’re not risking anyones safety and this feels like the right decision at this time, for all.
One of the benefits of a small family run team and business is the ability to implement strict sanitation measures all while still providing our customers and friends with the things they require.
Are you LOCAL?
Pick up will be available at the front door of the store,
during our temporarily shortened hours of 10 am to 4 pm Monday - Saturday. Give us a call, 519-475-4947 or 1-800-387-5716 or order online.
As always, Mastercard, Visa and American Express are acceptable
methods of payment.
Unfortunately at this time we cannot accept cash or debit card as
payment from local customers, but you can now pay using Interac
E-transfer. With online banking or an app on your phone, your payment is
sent from your bank account directly to ours. We don’t need to know your
card number or your banking information. Send your payment
to:
Please note that we will make every effort to process your order
promptly, but cannot guarantee that an order can be processed the same
day we receive it. At this time, it's unclear if non essential closure includes mail order businesses or not so we'll keep doing our best to provide to you where and when we can.
If there’s one thing I can say through all of this, it’s that we care, and we’re here for you, whenever and however we’re able to. Give us a call! My mom will most likely answer and happily answer any questions you may have.
All the best,
Becky
Forever a “little Siddall”
and the daughter of Steve and Cathy Siddall, founders and owners of Workshop Supply.
I’m happy you’re here.
