High density plywood (Baltic Birch Ply) is wonderful to work with.
There's just no comparing it to regular plywood. We use it in our
shop on all jigs and fixtures and router templates. It resists
flexing unlike any other wood ply so it's perfect for jig bases where
toggle clamps will be mounted. It machines nicely for drawer box
sides because it routes cleanly and has a nice looking edge when
sanded and sealed. Many of our customers still buy it for drawer
sides.
We stock it in 6 thicknesses and offer larger sheets in our
retail store.
