180 grams of permanent ceramic magnet (that’s .4 of a pound!!!) This is one large ceramic magnet.
It will pick up 2-1/4 kgs (over 5 lbs) of cast iron (flat side).
It’s perfect for keeping tools handy anywhere there's a metallic surface such as woodworking machines.
For the inventive person, the 4.2cm (1-1/2”) diameter hole through the middle can be used to fasten it to home made jigs or for tying a rope through for metal recovery missions.
If you are handy working metal, the magnetic force can be focused in one direction for an even higher magnetic force by placing it into a custom rectangular metal casing of close size. Use 1/8” thick metal for the best magnetic results. Plan ahead by fastening whatever you wish to the metal casing before using epoxy to keep the magnet in the case. Epoxy is needed to prevent the magnet from pulling out of your case when you place it on thick metal (cast iron for example).
Size measurements are 8cm diameter x 1.5cm, 4.2cm hole (approximately 3” x 5/8” thick, 1-1/2" hole)
Delivered in its own reusable plastic case.
