I started using the BlackJack version from workshop supply (located in Embro Ontario) and I gotta say I like it. I went this way since I haven't the room in the shop to cut up a sheet of ply without spending far more time than it is worth to move everything about. I am impressed with the 50 inch verison I have.Yes you can tear it off the wood when it is clamped - this is not a bessey k body here and it isn't designed for that use. As a guide it is outstanding. I've used it as a fence on my jet band saw as it works great for that as well. Eventually I would like to add several more in other sizes - the 50 inch version is just way too long to keep using as a BS fence.....
