Table Hardware
When your time comes to graduate from small to physically large projects, the table is possibly the best project to tackle. Broken down into components, the table is being nothing more than multiple boards edge glued together, fastened to a skirt (more boards) and connected to legs (heavier boards). If you want the table to extend, think of it as not gluing as many boards together but instead, fastening a set of manufactured slides between a set of boards.
