Puffin ”Classroom in a Tube” Intarsia Pattern by Judy Gale Roberts

Woods Used
Aspen (all white parts)
Yellow Heart (for the cheek patch)
Red Heart (beak and eye)
Walnut (for dark pieces)
Bass Wood (for the light parts on the beak)
Spalted Maple and Hackberry (for the rocks)
Spanish Cedar (for the feet)
Walnut 3/8” dowel (for eyes)
Blades Used
PL-5 or TM-5R (for all hardwoods)
The Wonder Wheel was used for adding texture on the rocks and pine branches.

The tube contains:
• One red line master pattern for reference.
• Two sets of the pattern sections already cut apart. These are printed with red lines on sheets of velum paper. You will be amazed how much easier it is to follow a red line with your saw blade. The vellum paper is transparent which helps finding that special grain pattern for your Intarsia project.
• One complete set of step by step instructions and reference photos of the subject matter.
