This easy-to-build feeder works on a simple balance beam. When a squirrel sits on the perch, his weight causes it to drop down which seals off access to the seeds.
The squirrels will entertain you with their acrobatics and amusing antics until they finally give up. You can adjust the balance to prevent nuisance birds like starlings and black birds from robbing the seed as well.
